FARMAKOLOGI
TETRASANBE ® mengandung Tetrasiklin Hidroklorida
merupakan antibiotika bakteriostatik berspektrum luas,
bekerja mempengaruhi sintesa protein dengan memblokade ikatan aminoasil t-RNA ke m-RNA kompleks
ribosom.
INDIKASI
- Pneumonia, infeksi yang disebabkan oleh Ricketsia,
infeksi saluran kemih, bronkhitis.
- Infeksi-infeksi yang disebabkan oleh Staphylococcus
dan Streptococcus.
- Untuk penderita gonore dan sipilis tahap tertentu yang
tidak tahan terhadap penisilin.
KONTRA-INDIKASI
- Penderita yang hipersensitif terhadap obat golongan
Tetrasiklin.
- Wanita hamil dan menyusui
- Anak dibawah usia 8 tahun.
EFEK SAMPING
- Sistem pencernaan: Mual, muntah, diare, glositis,
superinfeksi oleh jamur.
- Kulit: Dermatitis, makulopapular, kemerahan pada kulit.
- Reaksi hipersensitif: Urtikaria, anafilaksis dan lupus
eritematosus.
- Sistem hematologi: Anemia hemolitika, trombositopenia dan neutropenia.
PERINGATAN DAN PERHATIAN
- Sebaiknya diberikan satu jam sebelum atau dua jam
sesudah makan.

PHARMACOLOGY
TETRASANBE ® contains Tetracycline Hydrochloride
are primarily bacteriostatic and are thought to exert
their antimicrobial effect by inhibition of protein synthesis
with blockade aminoasil t-RNA to complex m-RNA
ribosome.
INDICATIONS
- Pneumonia, infection caused by Rickettsiae, urinary
tract infections, bronchitis.
- Infections caused by staphylococcus and streptococcus.
- Gonorrhea and syphilis, patients sensitive to penicillin.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
- Patients who have shown hypersensitivity to any of the
tetracycline.
- Pregnant women and nursing mother.
- Children under 8 years of age.
ADVERSE REACTIONS
- Gastrointestinal: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, glossitis,
super infections caused by fungi.
- Skin: Dermatitis, maculopapular, erythematosus rashes.
- Hypersensitivity reactions: Urticaria, anaphylaxis and
exacerbation of systemic lupus erythematosus.
- Haematologic: Haemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia and neutropenia.
WARNING AND PRECAUTIONS
- Should be given 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals.
- If renal impairement exist, may lead to excessive
systemic accumulation of the drugs.
- Penggunaan tetrasiklin pada penderita gangguan
fungsi ginjal dapat menimbulkan kumulasi.
- Penggunaan dalam waktu yang lama dapat menyebabkan terjadinya superinfeksi terutama oleh jamur.
INTERAKSI OBAT
- Tetrasiklin membentuk kompleks dengan ion-ion kalsium, magnesium, besi dan alumunium. Maka sebaiknya tidak diberikan bersamaan dengan tonikum yang
mengandung besi atau dengan antasida berupa
senyawa berupa alumunium, magnesium dan susu.
- Tetrasiklin memperpanjang kerja antikoagulan kumarin,
sehingga proses pembekuan darah tertunda.
- Pengobatan dengan Tetrasiklin jangan dikombinasikan
dengan penisilin atau sefalosporin.
- Penggunaan bersamaan dengan kontrasepsi oral
dapat menurunkan efektivitas kontrasepsi oral.
DOSIS
Dewasa: 250 - 500 mg setiap 6 jam tergantung dari
tingkat keparahan penyakit.
Anak diatas 8 tahun: 25 - 50 mg/kg BB sehari, dibagi
dalam 4 dosis. Dosis maksimum tidak melebihi dosis
orang dewasa.
Terapi sebaiknya diteruskan paling sedikit 2 hari setelah
gejala hilang.
Obat sebaiknya diminum satu jam sebelum atau 2 jam
sesudah makan.

- Use of this drug may result in overgrowth of non susceptible organisms, including fungi.
DRUG INTERACTIONS
- Tetracycline forming complex with calcium, magnesium, iron and aluminum. Should not be given
concomitant with tonic containing iron or with antacids containing aluminum, magnesium and dairy
products.
- Tetracycline prolong coumarin anticoagulant actions,
therefore inhibit coagulation process.
- It is not advisable to administer Tetracycline with
penicillin and cephalosporin concomitantly.
- Concurrent use of Tetracycline with oral contraceptives may render oral contraceptives less effective.
DOSAGES
Adult: 250 - 500 mg every 6 hours, depending on the
severity of the infection.
Children above 8 years of age: 25 - 50 mg/kg of body
weight divided in four equal doses. Maximum dosage
not exceed adult dosage.
Therapy should be continued for at least 2 days after
symptoms and fever have subsided.
Oral forms of Tetracycline should be given 1 hour before
or 2 hours after meals.
