Transmedic Award
Application Deadline – 31st October 2012
As a result of the generosity of the Transmedic, Singapore, five awards of
USD 200 are now available for participants from developed countries in
Asia Australasian.
The prize is intended to advanced training of the applicant in paediatric
neurosurgery, and will be delivered at the Advanced Asian Australasian
Course of Paediatric Neurosurgery in 2012. The award money will be
presented at the AAACPN 2012, Kabinburi, Thailand.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. All young neurosurgery residents or participants younger than 40
years old on December 31, 2012
2. Living in the following countries:
Group A (GDP PPP per capita < USD 3,100)
Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Cambodia, East Timor,
North Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New
Guinea, Tajikistan, Vietnam, Yemen, Uzbekistan.
Group B (GDP PPP per capita >USD 3,100- < USD 6,000)
India, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Mongolia, Philippines, Sri Lanka,
Syria, Bhutan, Georgia, Maldives.
Group C (GDP PPP per capita >USD 6,000-10,000)
China, Turkmenistan, Thailand
3. The applicant should be recommended by University authorities of
his/her country. The letter should be written and signed by the
Head of a Department, or by the Dean or the hospital Director.
4. The applicant should send an AAACPN2012 registration form along
with including:
a. The letter(s) of recommendation
b. The curriculum vitae
c. A personal photo to be included in the files
5. The applicant may not have already received another award.
The deadline for submission is October 31, 2012.
