THI Series battery isolators can be used to isolate circuits or batteries .These Battery Isolators are simple to install, take up less room, and are more durable than standard battery isolators. They require less then 1 amp to operate. Take your pick of either our 80 amp, 200 amp or 500 amp model. THI-500 500Amp Continuous at 12Vdc THAI Series electrically isolate the batteries to prevent the battery with the higher charge from draining into the secondary battery with the lower charge. This reduces the load on the charging system by not connecting the auxiliary battery until the primary battery is charged to 13.2V. The isolator connects the two batteries together when either battery voltage is above 13.2V for 2 minutes (e.g. during charging). The two batteries are isolated when both battery voltages are below 12.7V for 1 minute. The BOOST function connects the two batteries to provide more starting energy. The STATUS indicator and the on-board LED are turned on when the two batteries are connected together.
