T Y S YST INSTRUCTIONS MANUAL WIRING DIAGRAM ELECTRONIC TRASFORMER FOR LED LAMPS 12V Type: LTC 5/23-LED The digitally controlled electronic transformer use sensitive electronic components and should be handled with the same care as any other electronic equipment. In order to achieve a long life and correct functioning, both in the electronic transformer and in the LED lamps, it is necessary to follow these manufacturer's recommendations. 0V 40 N L2 L1 {! 400V ELECTRONIC TRANSFORMER AND PROTECTION SYSTEM RESPONSE L2 50W 4,2 Maximum length allowed (m) 1,5mm 1,5 2 2,5mm Type 2 LTC 5/23-LED Absence of lamp. Risk of fault Block: Stand-by or rest situation 2,0 LED lamps that work correctly with the LTC 5/23-LED transformer If two or more lamps are installed in the same transformer, the cables must be of the same length (maximum 1m.) So as not to obtain different luminosity in each lamp due to the different voltage drops in the wiring. Those wires situated near to the lamp must be made of material which can support high temperatures. A good connection in the wires must be ensured in order to minimize the notable effects of the contact resistance in the connections. The test voltage must never be applied the phases and the neutral or between phases. L N Range installation distance FLUX REGULATION } Wiring with the correct insulation, lengths and cross-sections must be used. For the same power, the current in a circuit is 20 times higher at 12V than at 230V. Because of the voltage drop, the maximum length allowed in cables connected to the transformer's secondary is: Current in output to lamps (A) 20 cm. min. 100cm. max. 12V LED lamps regulation in not allowed. WIRING Power LED 12V lamp Yes 0V 400V L1 0V NO 40 23 0V N 40 0V L3 230V L3 23 ~ wrong right 0V L N ELECTRIC SUPPLY The voltage and frequency of the mains supply must be within the normal operating range. In 400V triphase installations, the neutral must always be connected, if it is interrupted the 400V could reach the equipment and there would be a risk of damage. When the installation is carried out the charge between the phases must be as equally balanced as possible. 40 ¡ Caution ! SAFETY Avery low voltage installation (LVI) must be carried out whilst taking the necessary precautions in order to respect the safety of all its parts. The contact or crossing between the mains supply conductors and the very low voltage installation conductors must be avoided and the insulation between the conductors must be > 4kV. Maintenance and the changing of parts must be carried out by a qualified person with the mains disconnected and the instructions and cirrent regulations must be strictly followed. TEMPERATURE It must be ensured that the maximum atmospheric temperature in the installation does not exceed the ta marked on the equipment, and an adequate degree of protection against humidity must be ºC provided. Under no circumstances must the tc temperature marked on the transformer’s casing be exceeded due to the fact that continued operation at higher temperatures produces a progressive reduction in life expectancy. The electronic transformer includes thermal protection which acts to minimize the damage and faults in the equipment in these conditions.
