Design:
Front & Back Panels are of 1/16" brushed aluminum, laser cutted & titan anodized
Printing on the panels is dark anthracite (nearly black) laser engraved
Pointer control knobs black – no cheap-o taiwanese types, but US made in Chicago
Circle of points around the control knobs - dark anthracite laser engraved
J.S. Signature between 'Reactance control' & 'Standby Switch' on the front panel
Title "JON SCHAFFER SIGNATURE MODEL by LARRY" on the front right below the controls
Toggle switches (UK ARROW like on the orig. JTM45) for Power & Standby, Pilot Light purple
Head case w/ black or dark blue vinyl, but unlike the DINO w/o amp corners
Front & rear grills brushed stainless steel, heat threatened or powder coated black
"Larry" logo laser cutted of brushed stainless steel on the front grill
Dimensions of the amp's chassis & the head case are the same as on the DINO939 amps
Technical Specs:
2-channel all tube amp head with Pure Evil & Pure Bliss channel & independent tone stacks
Pure Bliss equals the California Clean channel of the DINO939 amp head, a fender-ish and
Blackface Twin based channel, but w/ 'Into-Your-Face-Mode' via mini switch on the front
Controls: Pure Bliss (Volume), Treble, Middle, Bass
Pure Evil is based on the British HotRod channel of the DINO939 (THE Jon Schaffer sound)
but additional can be modified by two mode switches EDGE and BODY
Controls: Punch, Bite, Pure Evil (Gain), Volume, Treble, Middle, Bass
The power section has the controls: Output, Presence, Reactance (more than just 'Depth')
Main FX loop w/ Send Level, FX Send, FX Return, Return Level
Optional parallel FX loop w/ switchable sensitivity (high/low) just for the Pure Bliss channel
Impedance selector rotary switch (4-8-16 ohms) on the back panel
Voltage selector switch (120-230 volts wall voltage) on top of the chassis behind the PT
Additional PT primaries for international wall voltages (100-220-240 volts) inside the chassis
Power & Output Transformers are UK custom made, laminations are NOS steel from the 80'
Transformer's end bells are shiny nickel plated
All mounting components (screws, nuts, washers, aso.) are made of stainless steel
Electronical layout is on eyelet fiber boards & completely Point-To-Point hand wired
NOS MIL-specs preamp tube sockets w/shielding flange (made in 1962 for the US military)
Ceramic output tube sockets w/ shiney nickel plated flange
Optional NOS 70' Tungsram ECC83 preamp tubes & NOS 70' RFT EL34 power tubes
Stainless Steel Chassis w/ 3/32" thickness, laser cutted, welded corners, surface brushed
Though this amp head is a 2-channel amp head, the circuit is designed w/o any compromise
like two independent one-channel amps, who share the common main FX loop and the
power section – and though the sounds are derivated from the DINO, due to a once again
revised circuit and changes of some part's brands, the additional mode switches and slightly
changes on the PT's and OT's designs, this amp head even will nail my flagship DINO939!
The base price w/o the FX loop for the Pure Bliss and supplied w/ TungSol Reissue 12AX7A
preamp tubes and Svetlana =©= EL34 output tubes is 3,600.00 EUR
Optional FX loop for the Pure Bliss channel is 180.00 EUR
Special selected NOS Tungsram ECC83's instead of the TungSol reissues is 300.00 EUR
Special selected NOS RFT (Siemens) EL34's instead of the Svetlanas is 240.00 EUR
