Lighting Control Solutions
Every building is unique. That’s why Aimlite Controls has developed a flexible lighting control solution
that adapts with any existing network with ease. Reliable, stylish and practical, Aimlite Controls
lighting control solutions feature highly advanced functionalities that are also very easy to use.
COMPATIBLE PROTOCOLS
Every system made by Aimlite Controls can work with the following protocols (needs to be
specified) :
BACNET IP
BACNET MSTP
DALI
DMX
LONWORKS
MODBUS
BENEFITS OF WORKING WITH Aimlite CONTROLS
ffSpecification and component choice solutions to help you focus on your main goals and the
functionality for the building’s occupants
ffNetwork design for conventional systems to have easy to understand plans provided by
Aimlite Controls.
ffLoop design for DALI systems because we know everything about this protocol and can save
you time
ffInstaller training to make sure everything is done right from the beginning
ffMaintenance team training to increase their productivity on lighting-related tasks
ffEnd-user training so that they can benefit from the whole lighting controls experience
ffCommissioning of the building to make sure everything works as it should

Lighting Control Features
Daylight Harvesting : use the natural light and reduce electric light level.
Occupancy & Vacancy sensing : adjust/turn off light depending on room occupancy.
Scheduling : automatically turn on/off or dim lights based on work week and holidays.
Personal control : end-user ability to set light level to their preference increases productivity.
Scene control : set lighting layout for different room usages and conditions.
Demand response : avoid peak energy charges by lowering or shutting down non-priority charges.
Energy monitoring : graphics and date showing energy usage based on room or device.
Maintenance alarms : send email/SMS when a device fails or is at the end of its lifecycle.
Remote access : access your lighting control system from anywhere in the world. There's an App
for that!

Standard Lighting Controls Diagrams
Relay Panel Standard Wiring Diagram
Relay Panels are made for the simple tasks of doing ON and OFF action on a circuit. It can be
combined with schedules and divided by zones.
0-10VDC Standard Wiring Diagram
0-10VDC Lighting Control Panels are a more intelligent version of the previously mentioned Relay
Panel. They will allow dimming (when combined with a dimming ballast), scheduling and zoning.
4
DALI Standard Wiring Diagram
DALI Lighting Control Panels are the most advanced type of systems available on the market.
They will allow dimming (when combined with a dimming ballast), scheduling and have flexible
zoning. That means if a wall is moved/removed, wiring does not need to be redone, everything
can be changed virtually and take effect. It will also allow energy sub metering via its addressable
components.
Wireless Standard Diagram
Wireless Control Systems are very simple and easy to install. They will allow dimming (when
combined with dimming ballast), scheduling and zoning. Recommended to use only when
necessary (see previous diagram) as interference may occur in some buildings.

Application Examples
RETAIL
For retail use, standard 0-10VDC lighting control system with time clocks is often used. If the
building has access to sun light, the use of lux sensor will be recommended.
Aimlite Controls Solution :
ff0-10VDC Lighting Control Panel
ffAstronomical time clock or Aimlite AIMCU
ffLux meter for areas with access sunlight
ffMotion detectors for bathrooms
SCHOOLS
For school use, DALI system with scenes, daylight sensors and motion detectors are
recommended. We also recommend using the AIMCU for complete scheduling, maintenance and
alarms.
Aimlite Controls Solution :
ffDALI Lighting Control Panel
ffClass room scene controls, for shades and projection screens
ffAimlite AIMCU to control every floor of every building as well as schedules. Alarms and interactive
floor plans to reduce maintenance costs.
ffPhotocells for areas with sunlight
ffMotion detectors for bathrooms
ffVacancy sensors for administration offices
ffLCD Touch Panels for auditoriums with pre-defined scenes
6
HOTELS
In hotels, customers need to have their own room lighting control. In common spaces or predefined
rooms, scheduling or motion sensors can be used.
Aimlite Controls Solution :
ff0-10VDC Lighting Control Panel
ffIndividual switches for every guest room
ffRoom access card
ffMotion detectors in gym and public laundry rooms
ffVacancy sensors in office rooms
ffDaylight sensors in main lobby and corridors (if enough natural light comes in)
ffHVAC control solutions also available (contact us)
OFFICES
Energy savings are something not to overlook in offices. Individual controls will provide comfort
to the user as well as increase his productivity. We also recommend using the Aimlite AIMCU for
complete scheduling and maintenance alarms.
Aimlite Controls Solution :
ffDALI Lighting Control Panel
ffAimlite AIMCU to control every floor of every building as well as schedules. Alarms and interactive
floor plans with system status to reduce maintenance costs.
ffPhotocells for areas with sunlight
ffMotion detectors for bathrooms
ffVacancy sensors for closed offices
ffPersonal control for dimming fixtures over cubicles
7
HISTORICAL BUILDINGS
Churches often use a lot of energy. Using natural light at its maximum and scheduling can reduce
the energy bill by a lot. Since most churches are historical buildings, wireless solution can be used.
Aimlite Controls Solution :
ffWireless Lighting Control Panel
ffWireless photocells for areas with sunlight
ffWireless motion detectors for bathrooms
ffAstronomical time clock
ffHeating control solutions also available for existing cast iron radiators (contact us)
INDUSTRIAL (WAREHOUSES)
Since most of the warehouses don’t have direct sunlight exposure and need good lighting, simple
lighting control solutions can be used.
Aimlite Controls Solution :
ff0-10VDC Lighting Control Panel
ffAstrological time clock
ffVacancy sensors for areas not frequently used
ffMotion detectors for bathrooms
ffTemperature control
ffLoad Shedding and Energy Monitoring (contact us)
STADIUMS
A stadium can be very costly to wire, so a wireless solution is recommended. Also, the Aimlite AIMCU
can easily manage schedules planning.
Aimlite Controls Solution :
ffWireless Lighting Control Panel
ffAimlite AIMCU to control schedules.
ffWireless photocells for areas with sunlight
ffWireless motion detectors for bathrooms
8
HOSPITALS
For hospital use, DALI system with daylight sensors and motion detectors are recommended. We
also recommend using the Aimlite AIMCU for complete scheduling , maintenance and alarms.
Aimlite Controls Solution :
ffDALI Lighting Control Panel
ffAimlite AIMCU to control every floor of every building as well as schedules. Alarms and interactive
floorplans to reduce maintenance costs.
ffPhotocells for areas with sunlight
ffMotion detectors for bathrooms

RETIREMENT HOMES
In retirement homes, there is a need for personal lighting control while not compromising comfort.
In common spaces or predefined rooms, scheduling or motion sensors can be used.
Aimlite Controls Solution :
ff0-10VDC Lighting Control Panel
ffIndividual switches for every guest room
ffVacancy sensors in office rooms
ffDaylight sensors in main lobby and corridors (if enough natural light comes in)
ffTemperature controls
ffLoad Shedding and Energy Monitoring (contact us)
