WOLFGANG GLECHNER
Born in 1951 in Braunau am Inn. He is an autodidact.
Since 1998 Glechner (after his self developed “Trennfarbtheorie” - “colour isolation theorie”) has been producing forceful and colourful
paintings in oil or acrylic paint.
Before this he had mainly worked as an illustrator of black and white graphics and etching images which were influenced by his
teachers A. Paul Wber (Hamburg) and Helmut Huber (Salzburg).
Later he also produces short cartoon films for TV and internet.
Numerous exhibitions and exhibition participations and work in public and private collections. Private and public project assignments
for the City of Vienna, the Ministry of Justice, Gallery Wolfrum, the Childrens hospital Mautner- Markhof, Gallery Art House Bregenz,
Gallery Wolfrum, Gallery Lehner and Mel contemporary in Vienna.
The artist lives and works in Vienna.
