The 73 Monaco Formula One Grand Prix will again be held at the famous street
circuit around the port of Monte Carlo where fans from all walks of life descend
on this magnificent spectacle. Some do it budget style and others go the full
Monty at an event that really does offer something for everyone.
If this is your first time let us lead you to temptation with a variety of affordable
or indulgent options that should make some genuine sense amongst a plethora of
packages, tickets and products, many of which are not the real deal and can’t be
trusted. Our services are full guaranteed and we have been at it since 1993.
Most visitors stay in Nice particularly if you want to attend the event on more
than one day. Nice is just 20 minutes each way on trains every 20 minutes making
the event very accessible. From Nice it’s just €8 return per person (2014 prices).
Accommodation however is at a premium and gets snapped up pretty quickly
with prices increasing week by week so it pays to get in very early. Prices in bars
and restaurants do escalate in Nice and Monaco during this event.
A quality and relaxed option means staying a further 20-30 minutes train time
away beyond Nice in one of the stunning towns of Antibes, Juan les Pins or
Cannes. Our favourite is the small upmarket seaside resort of Juan les Pins which
is on the direct train route between Cannes and Monaco with the journey taking
around 50 minutes (same train) so if you are attending race day only this is ideal.
The train fare, purchased at the station, is just €16 return per person (2014
prices). You can get a seat before the crowds joining the train in Nice – a very
useful tip because Nice Gare is at times very hectic (as is Monaco!)
Accommodation is available in a range of 3, 4 and 5 star hotels (we don’t offer
lower) and these are subject to availability at the prices listed which will increase
week by week. If you want more 5 star options please try us but add a zero
before you start considering this as the Cannes Film Festival precedes the
Formula One and the events cross over with luxury accommodation. Our
featured hotel is the 4 star Helios, just a few minute’s walk from the station. It
also has its own beach bar and restaurant and is ideally located.
At this event it’s not a good idea to go general admission because the views are
very limited in Secteur Rocher which is on the old town hill side – take binoculars.
There is a cheaper stand Z1 in Avenue Kennedy but not really recommended with
limited views so we strongly suggest you take a reserved seat for the days you
want other than Sunday as it’s a sell out. The most expensive Grandstands are
the best for obvious reasons so if you are going all that way and want to have a
great time then take the best because saving €100 is really not worth it.
The prices are steep but it’s a once in a lifetime experience although we have
been twice and will go again because this truly is a fabulous spectacle. We highly
recommend O Stand. This is located on the super yacht berths and when you
have an O Stand ticket you are the only patrons allowed onto the jetty unless you
are on a yacht and arrive by sea. This means that you can mix with the rich and
famous close-hand and look at the skyline of Monaco from the bay as well as
walking amongst these amazing yachts, an experience in itself! From a race
viewpoint there is a big screen and you can clearly see the chicane around the
swimming pool from very well elevated stands. The earlier you book the better
the seat (higher is better). No matter what package we create for you we know
you will enjoy this event where we guarantee all accommodation and tickets.
