Like 0 Tweet 0 Share Subject: Incentive Alert – Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) ReOpens PV Rebate Program Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) has reopened its rebate for solar PV systems, available to SMUD commercial customers. SMUD territory encompasses Sacramento County and some of Placer County. See below for more information. Contact us to find out if your SMUD property is a good fit for this incentive program. SMUD Rebate Program Highlights: • Rebate is $200 per kW of the CSIAC system rating • There is no maximum rebate amount per customer – a customer may submit multiple applications for multiple systems • Rebate is awarded first come first serve. An installer is necessary to reserve the incentive. The incentive may be reserved for 30 days prior to beginning to submit required application documents (see Key Requirements). • Approximately $2M in funding available. A waitlist will be maintained in the event that the program becomes oversubscribed; projects may drop out or fail to meet program milestones. • Third Party PPA and Leased systems are allowed to apply • Retrocommissioning may be required if the Energy Star Portfolio Manager benchmark rating of the property is less than 75 Key Requirements: • Project size is limited to 100% of the customer’s annual electricity use. Systems up to 3 MW are eligible for Net Metering. • Application package includes a copy of the executed system contract, an interconnection application, an energy audit (may be done using SMUD’s online tool), and the property’s Energy Star Portfolio Manager benchmark rating Timing: Program is currently open and accepting applications.
