Special Instructions
Apply a post-directed application when all cotton in
the field to be treated has reached 16 inches in
height and a minimum of 2 inches of bark.
Application can then be directed to the lower
2 inches of the cotton stem.
Apply a minimum of 10 gallons of spray per acre by
ground.
Refer to glyphosate or MSMA labels for weeds
controlled and weed sizes.
DO NOT use a crop oil concentrate (COC),
methylated seed oil (MSO), or organo-silicant
(OS) or products containing these ingredients
as the adjuvant. Only a non-ionic surfactant (NIS)
that contains at least 80% active ingredient can be
used in these tank mixes.
When using glyphosate as the tank mix partner, a Roundup Ready® cotton variety must be grown. Any cotton
variety may be grown when MSMA is the tank mix partner.
If the glyphosate formulation being used already has a surfactant added, then additional NIS is optional.
However, if the glyphosate formulation being used does not have a surfactant, then additional NIS is required.
Always add a NIS to the MSMA tank mix regardless of the MSMA formulation.

precautions and restrictions.

Use Restrictions for Valor SX Plus Glyphosate or MSMA Tank Mix When Applied Post-Direct on 16-inch

Always read and follow all label directions, restrictions and precautions when using any pesticide alone or
in tank mix combinations. The most restrictive labeling applies when using a tank mix.
When applying this tank mixture, special attention should be paid to application timing. To protect cotton
from severe injury, the spray can only be directed to the lower 2 inches of the cotton stem on cotton that is
at least 16 inches in height and a minimum of 2 inches of bark. A NIS is the only adjuvant that can be
added to this tank mix. For effective weed control, the spray must be applied over the top of the weeds
and directed to the cotton no more than 2 inches up the cotton stem.
For residual weed control, Valor SX must be applied at 2 oz./A. Refer to Valor SX label for weeds
controlled at 2 oz./A.
Do not apply Valor SX plus glyphosate or MSMA within 60 days of harvest.
Do not apply more than 2 oz of Valor SX per acre during a single application and no more than 4 oz. of
Valor SX per acre during a single growing season.
Spray equipment used to apply Valor SX as a directed spray in cotton should not be used to apply other
materials to any crop foliage.
This 2(ee) bulletin contains directions for use which do not appear on the package label of Valor SX. Follow
instructions carefully.
Follow all applicable directions, restrictions and precautions on the EPA-registered label.
It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
