7. Specialization and Upper-Division Requirements: 5 courses at the upper-division level. Of these 5 courses, one course
from each of the areas of U.S. History, Economics, and Political Science must be taken. The remaining 2 courses must be
taken exclusively in one area of concentration that includes Anthropology, Economics, Geography, History, International
Studies, Political Science, Psychology, or Sociology. Note: 400-level courses are not listed in several areas of
specialization due to the significant number of prerequisites. However, theses 400-level courses may, nevertheless,
substitute for 300-level courses if approved the General Social Science advisor. Please see grid of applicable courses on
