Learning Objective: Monday– Y1: Mark numbers on a 0 to 20 beaded line. Y2:Count in 10s and 2s; spotting patterns Differentiated Outcomes Year 1 Hard – Order numbers on a track to 10. Harder – Order numbers on a track to 20. Hardest – Mark numbers on a beaded line using the ‘landmarks’ of 5, 10, 15 and 20 to help. Year 2 Hard – Describe and continue patterns. Harder – Count in 2s and 10s. Hardest – Recognise multiples of 2 and 10. Success Criteria Count along your number track pointing to the numbers as you go. Find numbers as directed. Can you recognise which numbers come inbetween? Use the numbers on the track to help recognise where you can place new numbers. Look at the number pattern. Do you see any similarities between the numbers? Do they all have a 5/0/2? What does that mean? Add in the missing numbers by counting in 2s/5s/10s etc. See if you can make up your own number pattern for a partner to work out. HALF TERM ASSESSMENT ACTIVITY WITH MS MERAW Thursday – Y1: Compare 2 numbers less than 20. Y2: Count in 10s and begin to use multiplication. Year 1 Hard – Compare 2 numbers less than 10 Harder – Compare 2 numbers less than 20. Hardest – Compare 2 numbers more than 20. Year 2 Hard - Count in 10s. Hardest - Understand multiplication as repeated addition. Hardest – Write multiplication number sentences. Pick two cards. Discuss with a partner which is more and which is less. What could you use to help you? See if you can write a number that comes inbetween. Work in pairs to roll a 1–10 dice. Take that number of 10p coins. Count the total and record a sentence such as 7 lots of 10p = 70p. Repeat with 2p coins. Begin to record sentences such as 7 x 10 = 70. Friday – Y1: Count in 10s from 10. Y2: Recognise odd and even numbers. Year 1 Hard – Count from 1 to 100. Harder – Count in 10s from 10. Hardest – Count in 10s from 10, matching multiples on your fingers. Year 2 Hard - Recognise odd and even numbers to at least 10. Harder - Recognise odd and even numbers to 20. Hardest - Recognise odd and even numbers to 100. Put the multiples of 10 cards in the correct order. Count along the line. See if you can complete the sequences counting in 10s. Can you recognise the missing multiple of 10? Write 9 numbers (0-20) into the grid using a mixture of odd and even numbers. Flip a coin, heads = even and tails = odd. Ring an odd or even number. The first to ring them all wins. As above but number (0-100). Main Differentiated Group Activities / Resources / ICT T ACTIVITY WITH MS MERAW F T HALF TERM ASSESSMENT W M Starting Activity Additional Notes Plenary/Mini Key Questions
