Denying access to an option by including a Draft/Final field on the form will prevent
modification of documents e.g. Initial Evaluation or Progress Note. Access to the Delete
command button should also be denied to prevent the removal of data.
Fields can be made initially accessible/enabled or inaccessible/disabled. They can also
be made required to contain data in order to be filed. In this application, required fields
are in red and disabled fields are greyed out. This screen shot reflects the clinical design
decisions that information on Tobacco use and Homelessness is useful and relevant but
not essential information. So the fields are present but not required. Alcohol, Illicit Drugs,
and prescription Drug Abuse are essential and thus required.
Also note that all the fields for details are greyed out. This prevents the entry of
extraneous information, not attached to the past &/or present timeframes

in the Alcohol and Illicit Drugs details fields have the fields enabled and required. The
negative response in the Prescription Drug field has left the details field disabled and not
required.
