The effect of ABA on metabolism changes of inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate
(Ins(1,4,5)P3)
and
polyphosphatidylinositols
-
phosphatidylinositol
4,5-
bisphosphate (PI(4,5)P2) and phosphatidylinositol 4 - phosphate (PI(4)P) - was
investigated in maize leaf cells in vivo. The rapid increase of Ins(1,4,5)P3 level in
comparison with control accompanied by decreasing of PI(4)P and PI(4,5)P 2 was
shown. The activation of phospholipase C duaring early stage of ABA action was
concluded.
Key words: Zea mays L, phospholipase C, abscisic acid, inositol 1,4,5trisphosphate, phosphatidylinositol 4,5-biphosphate.
