“How to use the OHM’s Law Wheel”
What is the Watts?
Watts is the unit used to describe the amount of power being used
by a system, on the OHM’s Law Wheel this is denotted by the Letter “P”
if you know two of the following you can calculate it:
• Voltage
• Amperes
• Resistance
Example 1
Example 2
E = 120 volts
E = 120 volts
R = 10 ohms
P = 100 watts
P = E 2 = 120 2 = 1440 watts
R
10
P = 12 amps
I = P = 1440 = 12 amps
E
120
I = 12 amps
