CANCER –PREVENTION & PROMOTION OF HEALTH Background: Cancer, the world’s second biggest killer after cardiovascular disease, is one of the most preventable, non-communicable, chronic diseases (ACS, 2012; WHO, 2008). Directions: Review the world view of cancer with clustering, and determine if China has high rates of any specific cancers, and any related risks. Are there specific areas that should be targeted for patient education related to high cancer rates in China? Identify health promotion and prevention activities that could be instituted and sustained.
