It is one of the lowest instruments in the brass section. One of the first versions of it was made in the 15th century. The Trombone Trombones are made of brass which is made of copper and zinc. The slide can be made of nickel or brass. The Trombone You play it by putting your lips to the mouthpiece and letting your lips vibrate. You can change the note by sliding the slide up and down the instrument. If you slide it up it gets higher and if you slide it down it gets lower. The highest note that a trombone can play is Bb and the lowest is Eb.
