INFECTIOUS DISEASES PHARMACIST FACULTY POSITION University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy – Knoxville Campus ACCP Listing The UTHSC College of Pharmacy seeks nominations and applications for a position as Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy for its campus at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. Required Qualifications • Pharm.D. Degree • PGY1 and PGY2 or Fellowship in Infectious Diseases or equivalent training or experience in adult infectious diseases pharmacy practice • Eligible for pharmacist licensure in Tennessee Desired Qualifications • 3 to 5 years of experience as faculty • Training and experience in adult infectious diseases pharmacy practice • Experience with delivering clinical service in an integrated, decentralized pharmacy system • Demonstrated ability to produce scholarly activity in the form of peer-reviewed publications • Excellence in written and oral communication, clinical skills, and teaching Duties and Responsibilities Teaching: • Teach and coordinate courses in the PharmD curriculum • Rotation Preceptor • Precept PGY1 and PGY2 residents Scholarship: • Annual contributions to the literature in peer-reviewed publications • External funding as opportunities present • Presentations at national, regional and local meetings are expected Service to the University: • Participation in College, Department, and University / Campus committees • Participation in UTMC Committees or Councils Clinical Service: • Clinical service in infectious diseases at the University of Tennessee Medical Center The salary will be commensurate with experience.
