BABYLONIAN ART
Babylonians make reliefs which are animal carvings. They use arches
for building. They also use terracotta geotromic art with patterns.
They also use Ziggurats as well. They make buttresses and vaults. The
arches have voussirs with cedar. They use the cedar as a decoration.
They have battlements as well. They have square platforms in their
building.

BRONZE AND SILVER
SCULPTURES
Mesopotamian bronze sculptures are a big
part of their art. They are a big part of
their art because they make many bronze
sculpture's. It is also one of the most
common. It is one most common art
because it is made a lot.

that they though
was sacred or

Before

This is the architecture after Mesopotamia was
destroyed. It’s a picture of a ruin from Mesopotamia.
As you can see one lion lost its head.
STATUES
They used the statues to make the
place look nice. Babylonian (625538 BC) they exceeded in
Mesopotamian art and in brightly
colored glazed. Assyrian (1400-
600bc) are the next artists.

WALL CARVINGS
They use Murals which are wall decorations. They also use
clay for most of their sculptures. Ziggurats were decorated
with glazed tiles. They painted their murals. They also have
sculptures of animal heads which they had to carve. None of
the murals made it. The bricks were made with clay and mud.
They also decorate their work with tile decoration.

ASSYRIAN ART
Assyrians made wall carvings and also
sculptures and then they decorated
them with glaze. They made shrines
and monuments. They use clay and
mud for different artwork. They also
have stone and bricks. They have
animals on their wall carvings.
