Ancient Greece Homework Tasks Homework for this term will alternate between a topic based task and an English SPaG focused activity. Wednesday 15th April: Make a name plaque written in Greek letters Such as ‘Paul’s Room’ or ‘Home Sweet Home’ You could use card, clay or paper. Due wc 20th April. Wednesday 29th April- Research and choose a Greek Myth. Create your own storyboard of the myth using illustrations and captions. Due: wc 4th May Wednesday 13th May- Research the Ancient Olympics: Why did the Greeks hold the Olympic Games? What events took place in the Olympic Games and who took part? What are the main similarities and differences between the Olympic Games then and now? Due: wc 18th May Wednesday 3rd June- Create a Greek god/goddess fact file. Due: wc 8th June HALF TERM Wednesday 17th June- What was life like for Athenian children compared to Spartan children? What was school like in Ancient Athens? You can present your homework however you wish- a poster/PowerPoint/song etc. Due: wc 22nd June Wednesday 1st July- The myths and legends of ancient Greece include various strange creatures and monsters partly based on real animals that existed. Invent your own monster – this can be made out of junk materials, clay, card or collage. Due: wc 6th July Wednesday 15th July- Find the names of five Greek inventors. Research what they did and present your work as a poster. Due: wc 20th July
