but distant objects appeared blurred.

Accommodation - The adjustment of
the lens so that clear images of
objects at different distances are
focused on the retina.
Pseudomyopia - is caused by spasms
of accommodation which may be
associated with prolonged periods of
intensive near work.

• Near work is an important
