Abstract
In this paper, the theory of cyclotron-phonon resonance (CPR) in a cylindrical
quantum wire (CQW) has been studied in the case of electron-LO phonon
interaction. The analytic expression for the absorption power in CQW is obtained.
The CPR conditions as functions of the photon energy and the wire’s radius are
also obtained. The splitting of CPR peaks caused by the confined phonon are
discussed. Using profile method, we obtain the CPR-linewidth as profiles of the
curves. The temperature and the magnetic field dependence of the CPR-linewidth
have been investigated. The results are compared with those in the case of bulk
phonon.
