7.2.3: Explain the significance of the Qur’an and Sunnah as the primary sources of Islamic beliefs,
practices and law, and their influence in Muslims’ daily lives.

Content Objective: We will learn that geography and life in Arabia was shaped by the desert
environment.

Language Objective: using language of the discipline, describe the life and teachings of Muhammad
and the connection between Islam, Judaism, and Christianity.
Content Objective: Muhammad’s teachings led to the creation of one of the world’s largest
monotheistic religions, Islam.
