Activities for Spelling Homework
 Write each word in pencil, pen, and then marker.
 Write the words in “spelling stairs”
o Example:
 Make a word search using spelling words and have your son/daughter
solve it. (http://www.puzzlemaker.com)
 Outline each word.
o Example
 Write each word three times. Circle your neatest writing for each
word.
 Cut out letters from old newspapers and magazines to spell each word.
Glue the letters onto paper.
 Use each of your words in a sentence. Draw a box around the spelling
word.
 Make a chart with three columns.

 Write each word as a wagon by writing the beginning and ending
letters on each wheel and using the word as the wagon bed.

vowels and lowercase letters for consonants.
