ABSTRACT
Course “Lithology”
“Lithology” – the science of sedimentary rocks. She studies the composition,
properties and conditions of formation of sedimentary rocks and sedimentary
minerals.
The lithology course is designed for students majoring in Applied Geology.
It includes text material, practical and theoretical units, instructions for labworks
and practical works, questions for self-knowledge and student`s individual
assignments.
The course consists of sections: lithogenesis, petrography of sedimentary
rocks, methods of study of sedimentary rocks, facies analysis, sedimentation
formation, lithology of natural reservoirs.
