OBJECTIVE:
To obtain a position in which I may apply my knowledge and schooling towards a
company and its betterment
EDUCATION

1997-2001 Music Synthesis & Production, Berklee College of Music
EMPLOYMENT
2003-2005 Digital Audio Technician, The Computer Loft
The Computer Loft is an Apple Authorized repair center located in
Allston, Ma, employed as a Digital Audio Expert. My duties consist of
various troubleshooting and setup of hi-end audio systems. Listed
below are a few examples of my duties:
•Setup and Troubleshooting of Pro Tools HD systems
•Designing custom environments for Logic Audio systems
•Designing various custom midi and audio systems for Home and
Project studios.
•Diagnosis and repair of apple systems in order to function
optimally with a digital audio setup
2001-2004 Digital Audio Engineer / Sound Designer, Basement 247
Basement 247 is a recording studio located in Allston, Ma. I have
worked at this studio since 2001. I was originally brought in to install a
digital system (Pro Tools and Nuendo) in a fully analog studio. Once
this was setup, I was kept on as a digital engineer and sound designer.
On the Engineering end, I use Pro Tools and Nuendo for mixing and
producing. As a sound designer I employ various sampling and
synthesis techniques in order to gain the desired result for a clients’
required soundscape.
2000-2001 Music Supervisor / Composer, IdentityOne
IdentityOne was located in Downtown Boston; they were an Ad
Agency that focused mainly on the digital branding end of the
market. Their specialty became making music videos for the Internet. I
was originally hired as a Production Designer for various web sites.
Eventually, I was promoted to the level of music supervisor.
My duties included composing custom music for various clients such as
General Motors, Look Snowboards and The David and Goliath
Agency. I was also in the position to select and buy stock music when
necessary as well as design sound effects for various web sites.
Another duty, which was encompassed in this position, was creating
"radio edits" for use with online music videos, which were then brought
into flash animations and occasional television usage.
1999-2000 Composer / Voiceover Engineer / Sound Designer, Digitas
Digitas is a Branding/Ad Agency located in the Downtown Boston
area. Originally, I was employed there as a multimedia designer and
eventually I was given the title of Sound Designer / Voiceover
Engineer.
My duties, while employed with Digitas, included writing music for Flash
animations and television as well as recording 'voice overs'. I also
designed interactive sound effects to be used on the web ranging
from intro music to "click" sounds. The music I wrote while at Digitas
was mainly Jazz, Classical and Electronica.
Clients included: Tylenol, Neiman Marcus, Digitas
1997-1999 Sound Designer / Composer / Digital Producer, Rocketpop Labs
Rocketpop Labs is Graphic Design and Sound Design house located in
South Boston. Whilst employed with them, my duties encompassed
writing electronic music and doing sound design for an interactive
medium. The mainstay of music I was given the task of writing tended
to lean towards electronica with a focus in 'trance' and 'Drum and
Bass'. Occasionally, I would be asked to write some jazz or blues if the
client requested so. At Rocketpop/Zero Zero Island, I would deal with
clients very closely in order to gain the desired musical mood
necessary for a specific project.
I performed all tasks for my compositions. These tasks were
composing, engineering, producing, sound design and mastering.
1999-2000 Lab Monitor / Electronic Music Tutor, Berklee College Of Music
While I was attending Berklee College of Music (with a major in Music
Synthesis and Music Production and Engineering) I was employed in
the highly regarded music synthesis labs. My duties included having a
mastery of Pro Tools, Studio Vision Pro, Logic Audio and various
hardware and software synthesis techniques. I would instruct students
in various techniques such as electronic arrangement, modular
synthesis, subtractive synthesis, physical modelling and sampling
techniques using software and hardware samplers and synthesizers.
While at Berklee, I also worked as a tutor in electronic music and
engineering. This would entail teaching students various synthesis
techniques, sequencing/recording programs as well as mentoring
students in direction of a final project necessary for graduation.
