CaCl2
適應症
Listed in Dosage.
用量
1. Hypocalcaemia 10-25 mmol at intervals of 1-3 days, depending on
patient's response.
2. Severe acute hypocalcaemia; Hypocalcaemic tetany 2.25 mmol,
repeat when needed.
3. Antidote in severe hypermagnesaemia;
4. Severe hyperkalaemia As 10% soln: 5-10 mL, repeat when needed w/
ECG monitoring.
Contraindications 1. Treatment of hypocalcaemia caused by renal insufficiency or in patients
with resp acidosis or failure.
2. Patients with Ca renal calculi or a history renal calculi; IM/SC
administration.
3. Parenteral therapy for patients receiving cardiac glycosides.
Special
1. Impaired renal function;
Precautions
2. Cardiac disease;
3. Hypercalcaemia-associated diseases, eg, sarcoidosis; other
malignancies.
4. Pregnancy.
Adverse Drug
Reactions
1. GI irritation: Soft-tissue calcification, skin sloughing or necrosis after
IM/SC injection.
2. Hypercalcaemia characterised by anorexia, nausea, vomiting,
constipation, abdominal pain, muscle weakness, mental disturbances,
polydipsia, polyuria, nephrocalcinosis, renal calculi; chalky taste, hot
flushes and peripheral vasodilation.
3. Potentially Fatal: Cardiac arrhythmias and coma.
Drug Interactions 1. Co-administration of high Ca doses with thiazide diuretics may result in
milk-alkali syndrome and hypercalcaemia.
2. May potentiate digoxin toxicity.
3. Decreases effects of calcium-channel blockers.
4. Enhanced absorption with calcitriol (a vit D metabolite).
