Digital IC Design Engineer - DDE1102
Job Title: Digital IC Design Engineer
Company Introduction:
Analogies is a start-up semiconductor intellectual property (SIP) design company, that provides
high-speed wired and wireless connectivity silicon intellectual property (IP) cores for SOC
solutions. The company focuses in development and provision of very high-speed interfaces and
physical layer analog/mixed signal and RF SIP cores as well as forward error correction digital
signal processing SIP cores for computing and communication applications. We are currently
working to present our silicon proven, tailored to customer needs, high speed interface and
signal processing cores, that offer significant time to market and risk mitigation benefits. The
company serves fabless IC, IDMs, OEMs, ODMs that design SOCs with high speed connectivity or
signal processing requirements.
Job Description, Duties & Responsibilities:
In this full time engineering position, you will be working as part of a team of analog/mixed
signal designers that is developing analog/mixed signal silicon intellectual property (IP) cores.
The position requires the design and development of complex digital and mixed-signal systems
for a variety of high-speed applications; for these you will be involved in complete flow from
concept to silicon, including verification and documentation of the final product.
Therefore, you, as the successful candidate, will be responsible for the design & implementation
of digital cores and systems including their specification definition & optimization. You will be
developing digital IP blocks as micro-architectures in synthesizable RTL, and work to validate and
verify the developed IP cores. In essence, you will be involved in all aspects of digital block
design for FPGAs and ASICs; you will perform RTL (Verilog and/or VHDL) coding, simulation &
verification, ASIC synthesis, design for test, static timing analysis, gate level simulation & FPGA
verification, characterization & debugging of respective blocks & full chip designs.

Essential:
You should possess a Diploma or a Master of Science degree in Electronic Engineering or
Electrical Engineering, or similar degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or a
Ph.D. in Electronics and/or Computer Engineering with solid technical background. Other
science graduates would be considered if they have followed a relevant post graduate program
or have accumulated relevant experience and expertise.
Excellent understanding of digital design techniques and implementation options
Excellent knowledge of Verilog/VHDL coding, synthesis, place & route, and verification using any
relevant EDA tool flows
Good understanding of high-speed design issues and interoperability between digital and analog
domains
Technical writing skills
Able and willing to work well within a team
Fluent English language skills, both in writing and oral
Focused and ability to work to deadlines
Ability to work with minimal supervision and/or support
Clear communication skills, both written (report writing) and oral

Any one of the following qualifications, experience or skills is nice to have and would be
considered added advantages for the candidate:
Postgraduate studies in Electronics or similar field
Good knowledge of Synopsys flow (synthesis, test, timing, formal verification, place & route)
Experience on the design flow of Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) and the design of
large digital ASICs
Chip integration, floor-planning and digital layout skills
Generation of test vectors
Participation in one or more successful chip tape-outs
Proven commercial experience in a similar work position
Experience in the use of laboratory test and measurement equipment
Experience in Linux environment
