Subjects covered:
Internal Earth processes: Minerals and rocks, volcanoes, geothermal energy, the Earth's
internal structure, earthquakes, plate tectonics.
External earth processes: Landforms by weathering, erosion by rivers, glaciers, wind and
oceans. Main types of sediments and fossil fuels. Geological time, its determination, an
overview of the geological history of Iceland and the evolution of environment and life
through time.
