OBJECTIVES OF THE SYMPOSIUM
Upon completion of this symposium, attendees
should be able to:
*Understand the management of aortic and mital
valve disease.
*Understand novel anticoagulants and the recent
advances in nuclear cardiology.
*Discuss the pros and cons of the 2013 Cholesterol
Guidelines.
*Understand revascularization in the diabetic and
the management of heart disease in the athlete.
*Learn the management of heart failure, atrial and
ventricular arrhythmias.
*Understand the management of pericarditis and
aortic aneurysm.
*Understand and discuss fibromuscular dysplasia.
Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center is
accredited by the Connecticut State Medical
Society to sponsor continuing medical education
for physicians. This conference has been approved
by Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center for a
maximum of 11 credit hours in Category 1™
towards the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award.
Each physician should claim only those hours of
credit that he/she actually spent in the educational
activity.
We are approved to provide 11 CE’s for
registered nurses. Saint Francis Hospital and
Medical Center is an Approved Provider of
continuing nursing education by the Northeast
Multistate Division (NE-MSD), an accredited

(Bloomfield Avenue). Go 1.5 miles, and turn left at the
JCC sign. Take first left into the Center’s parking lots.
From I-91 North: To exit 35-B (Rte. 218 –
Windsor-Bloomfield). Turn left at end of exit.

JCC sign. Then take first left into the Center’s
parking lots.
