Students will be spending the next math topic learning about multiplication.
Objectives:
Can identify the factors and product in a multiplication sentence.
4 X 5 = 20
Factors- 4 & 5
Product- 20
Can write a math sentence as repeated addition and as a multiplication sentence.
2+2+2=6
3X2=6
Can represent multiplication sentences as an array.

Can write a math story for a given multiplication fact.

example- Mike has two boxes of cookies. Each box has 4 cookies.
How many cookies does he have?
Can multiply using the factors: 2, 5, 10, 9, 0, & 1.

Can identify:
Commutative property- you can multiply numbers in any order and the product is the
same.
Zero property- when you multiply a number by 0, the product is 0. 0 x 8 = 0
Identity property- when you multiply a number by 1, the product is that number. 1 x 2 = 2
