Mountains – large elevations of the earth’s surface rising abruptly from the surrounding level.

Glaciers – slow moving masses of ice formed by the buildup and compaction of snow.
Volcanoes – mountains or hills having a crater or vent through which lava, rock fragments, hot
vapor, and gas are being or have been erupted from the earth’s crust.
Grasslands – a large open area of country covered with grass.
Islands – pieces of land surrounded by water.
Lakes – large bodies of freshwater surrounded by land.
Rivers & River Systems – large natural streams of water flowing in a channel into another water source.
Deserts – an arid region with little to no rainfall.
Region – an area with at least one characteristic or feature that sets it apart from other areas.
Hemisphere – a region created when the Earth is divided in half.
Continent – a large unbroken land mass surrounded by water.
