RELAX......
Tornadoes





A tornado is a kind of storm.
It can cause devastating
damage.
A tornado forms when cool
air and warm air mix.
Sometimes people don’t
know when a tornado is
coming or going so they
stay in their houses.
Tornadoes speed up to 200
km an hour
Minnesota Story

In Minnesota a girl was
playing soccer in a field with
her team. First it started to rain
fell, then pouring with a bit of
lightning, then they saw little
funnel clouds starting to form,
then all of a sudden a tornado
touched down. Lawn chairs
and umbrellas were flying.
Parents took their kids and ran
in every direction.
How A Tornado Forms
First the cold air and
warm air are pushing
together.
 Then there's a swirl in the
sky.
 Last it’s a full grown
tornado wrecking
everything in its path.

Alberta Story

In 2000 a deadly tornado
touched down and killed
12 people in Pine Lake,
Alberta.
THAT’S ALL FOLKS!

and 5 people died. It hit on a
sunny day and they didn’t
know it was coming there way
but when they heard that one
was on it’s way they tried to
hide. But 5 of them didn’t
make it.
Different Kinds Of Floods!
There are flash floods
 Mud flow floods
 Dam-failure floods
 River floods
 Coastal floods
 And Urban floods


After a flood there's
usually a lot of damage
done to houses or
buildings.
After a flood
Tracking
Some people track floods
just as they track other
things like
tornadoes,hurricanes,and
sometimes hail storms.
 There is sometimes black
outs at the tracking station
if there's a big flood.

Well you’ve seen my show so what do
you think?
Hail storms
Hail storms come from
clouds.
 When the clouds rain get
cold and heavy it the
frozen rain drops on the
cloud.

Hail forms
Hail forms when it is very
cold and fogy and damp.
 When the clouds are heavy
they drop frozen rain.
 Some times hail kill
people.

Why does hail fall
Hail falls not to often.
 Hail falls in wet damped
places.
 Hail falls when its cold
and the clouds get very
heavy then the frozen rain
falls.
 Bad hail can easily get
killed.

