The nutrients and water goes up through the stems. Successful Reproduction Cactus can reproduce thousands of times. They don’t share any characteristics as other succulents. Physical Appearance of a Cactus Most cactus are green and have spikes. Some of them have flowers on them. Evolution and Origin Cacti make good household plants because they don’t need as much water as regular plants. Cacti just need sunlight and a little bit of water.
