Mercury is the planet closest to the sun
and the eighth largest planet. it was
named for Mercury, who in Roman
myths was the speedy messenger of the
gods. mercury is 57,910 kilometers away
from the sun

Venus is the second planet from the sun and
the sixth largest it is named after the evening
star because it shines brighter than any other
planet or star

Earth is the third planet away ( about 93
million miles away. ¾ of the planet is water.
Earth weighs 6,580,000,000,000,000,000,000 tons
Mars is the forth planet from the sun and about
142 million miles. It is the seventh largest planet it
takes 687 days revolve around the sun. a man
weighing 150 pounds on earth would weigh 57
pounds on mars

Jupiter is the fifth planets from the sun and
about 484 million miles away. It is the largest
planet. This planet is -202 degrees below
ZERO!!!!!!!!

Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun and
about 888 million away. This was the first
known planet. The winds on Saturn are about
900 miles per hour!

Uranus is the seventh planet from the sun and
about 1.8 billion miles away. This planet is
different from the other planets because it spin
on its side

Neptune is the eighth planet from the sun and
about 2.8 billion miles away from the sun.
Neptune is the coldest planet in the solar
system
