CALIFORNIA STATE APPEALS COURT UPHOLDS
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW OF GOLDEN STATE
WARRIORS’ PROPOSED MISSION BAY EVENT CENTER
SAN FRANCISCO, CA—“The California State Court of Appeals decision to uphold the
Subsequent Environmental Impact Report for the Golden State Warriors Event Center and
Mixed-Use Development is yet another victory in making this important development come
to life here in San Francisco. Under the Mayor’s leadership, our office worked tirelessly
with our City partners, the University of California San Francisco, neighborhood
stakeholders and the broader community to make certain the approval process was
thorough and comprehensive,” said Tiffany Bohee, Executive Director of the Office of
Community Investment and Infrastructure.
Bohee continued, “We are gratified to see that the Court of Appeals ruling recognized the
validity of the approval process. We look forward to the completion of this vibrant mixeduse project featuring an 18,000-seat arena, restaurants, cafes, offices and public plazas.
The development furthers the neighborhood’s planning and revitalization goals through
the Mission Bay South Redevelopment Plan.”
