Geometry Guided Notes: Central Angles and Arcs
Central Angle - an angle with its vertex at the center of the circle.
Classification of Arcs:
Minor Arc is: less than 180° and is named using ______ letters.
Semi-Circle is: equal to 180° and is named using ______ letters.
Major Arc is: greater than 180° but less than 360° and is named using _____ letters.
Arc Addition Postulate -The measure of an arc formed by two adjacent arcs is the sum of
the measures of the two arcs.
Example #3: Find the measure of each arc.
Example #5: Use the graph to determine the measure of each arc.
