Descriptions for making the Index Cards.
On one side of the index card have the picture of the shape/lines with the
name that corresponds with it, and on the other side write out the
descriptions provided.
Equilateral Triangle: have three sides that are equal and three angles
that have the same measure.
Scalene Triangle: All my sides are different in length and all my angles
are different in measure.
Square: All my sides are equal in length and all my angles measure
90 degrees.
Rectangle: My opposite sides are equal and I have four right
angles.
Rhombus: I can be a kite.
Pentagon: I am the shape of a building that can be found in Virginia
containing the US Department of Defense.
Octagon: I am the shape a stop sign.
Isosceles Triangle: I have two congruent sides and two congruent
angles.
Circle: 360 degrees.
Trapezoid: I am a quadrilateral that has one pair of parallel lines.
Cylinder: Since I am 3-dimensional, you can measure my volume.
Parallel Lines: My lines never intersect.
Line Segment: I am part of a line that is bounded by two
endpoints, and contain every point on the line between its end points.
Perpendicular Lines: My lines form congruent adjacent angles.
Intersecting Lines: All my lines have one point in common.
