BYU Hawaii Curriculum Proposal Number [15-09] Section 2 – Overview (Support) Since History 201 and 202 are no longer required of all students as part of the General Education program they now need to be explicitly required for History students as part of the Core Classes. Adding these two classes into the History Core and moving Geography 101 into the elective pool will add 3 credits to the total number required to complete the major. With 18 History core credits and 24 elective credits, the B.A. in History will increase to 42 credits from the current 39 credits.
