Aristotle wrote on an amazing range of subjects, from logic, philosophy, and ethics to physics, biology, psychology, politics and rhetoric. RHETORIC Rhetoric is the art of persuasion The goal of persuasion is to change others’ point of view or to move others to take action LOGOS, ETHOS, PATHOS RHETORICAL TRIANGLE Every communication is essentially a trilateral relationship. Each point of the triangle influences the others, and all are influenced by the context of the communication. Each point of the triangle bears some responsibility for the success of the communication, and each point of the triangle corresponds with one of Aristotle’s three appeals.
