Brief CV__________________________________________________________
Professor Yehya A. Mostafa earned the BDS degree with honor from Cairo University,
both the MS (Orthodontics) and PhD (Bone Biology & Orthodontics) degrees from
Marquette University, and the FDSRCSEd from the Royal College of Surgeons of
Edinburgh. He was an Associate Professor at Washington University prior to returning to
Egypt, where he was awarded the Egyptian State Prize for Biomedical Research. In
addition to private orthodontic practice in Cairo, Dr. Mostafa is a Professor of
Orthodontics at Cairo University, a Member of the Editorial Board of the American
Journal of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics, a consultant for both the Angle
Orthodontist and the World Journal of Orthodontics, a referee for the European Journal of
Orthodontics, and an Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He was
the 2005 World Champion Lecturer (representing Africa, Asia, and the Middle East) for
the 6th International Orthodontic Conference.
