Present perfect: “has done”

PRINCIPLE PARTS OF VERBS



Present participle: “is doing”
Past tense: “did”
Past participle: “has done”
Gerund: a verb acting like a noun. Usually has “ing” on the end. Examples: “I love swimming.” “Her singing was terrible.”
Prepositions: words that tell about position in space or time. Examples: to, from, in front of, with, around, before, after
Capitalization rules: capitalize the first word of a sentence, all proper nouns, the first word in a dialogue quote, and the
first and last words in a title.

Example: The boys had done their homework.
Simple subject: boys
Simple predicate: had done
