Materials Needed: graphing or regular sized white paper, ruler, protractor, coloring utensils or cut-out resources
Option 1: Geometric Drawing
Make a picture or sketch using at least 20 of the vocabulary words from chapter 1. Your drawing should be colorful and
you must use lines or line segments, at least 1 acute, right, obtuse, straight and supplementary angles, a plane, 2 regular
polygons and at least 1 concave and convex polygon. Show the measurement of at least 3 lines or line segments to the
nearest half an inch and use a protractor give the measurement of 1 angle per angle classification ( acute, right, obtuse
& straight). Note: Polygon sides will not count as line segments.
Option 2: Geometric Collage
Make a collage using real-life cut outs from magazines, newspapers or the internet showing at least 20 of the vocabulary
words from chapter 1. The collage should be colorful with a limited amount of white space. You must use lines or line
segments, at least 1 acute, right, obtuse, straight and supplementary angles, a plane, 2 regular polygons and at least 1
concave and convex polygon. Show the measurement of at least 3 lines or line segments to the nearest half an inch and
use a protractor give the measurement of 1 angle per angle classification ( acute, right, obtuse & straight). Note:
Polygon sides will not count as line segments.
The drawing or collage should be done on regular size paper or graph paper. Neatly label your drawing with a pen and
then highlight the 20 terms and/or measurements so I can find them easily. You should use only one term per drawing
item/cutout.
Turn in your project by Monday, September 23rd with your rubric. Ten points will be deducted for each school day it
is late.
