Tbilisi is the capital and the largest city of Georgia, lying on the banks of the Mtkvari River with

Old Tbilisi
Old Tbilisi is an administrative district in Tbilisi, capital of Georgia. Although the term "Old
Tbilisi" has long been used to denote a historical part of the city. Old Tbilisi is principally
centered on what is commonly referred to as the Tbilisi Historic District, which, due to its
significant architectural and urban value, as well as the threat to its survival, was previously
listed on the World Monuments Watch (1998, 2000, and 2002)

Sataplia Nature Reserve
The Sataplia Nature Reserve is located in
Tskaltubo district, about 260 km. from
Tbilisi. Established in 1935 to protect the
Sataplia Cave and dinosaur footprints
found in the area, this visitor attraction
recently benefited from a very attractive
refurbishment of its Sataplia Cave visitor
center.

Ushguli – highest inhabited settlement in Europe
Ushguli is a community of four villages located at the head of the Enguri gorge
in Svaneti, Georgia. Classified as the Upper Svaneti UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ushguli is
one of the highest (2060-2200m) continuously inhabited settlements in Europe.

Racha
Racha is a highland area in western Georgia, located in the upper Rioni river valley and

Ajara is one of the most beautiful parts of Georgia. It is the most south westerly point of
the country, located near the border with Turkey. Its administrative center is Batumi.

The Batumi Botanical Garden
The Batumi Botanical Garden is a 108 hectare area of land 9 km north of the city of
Batumi, capital of Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Georgia. Located at the place called
Mtsvane Kontskhi ("The Green Cape") on the Black Sea shore, it is one of the
largest botanical gardens in the former Soviet Union.

In very brief about us
INTERNATIONAL CENTER FOR CAUCASUS TOURISM , ICCT is a non-governmental, non-for-profit
organization, founded in 2007 by the group of experts working in the spheres of sustainable rural tourism,
environmental protection, nature conservation, vocational and adults education .

GEF membership helps ICCT in promoting harmonic interact of biodiversity and sustainable management
of forests through implementing projects concerned with Sustainable Rural Tourism, Environmental Protection
and Educational Programs.
From the very beginning, the priority of ICCT activities and researches has become poverty alleviation and
migration reduction through poor population involvement in Sustainable Rural Tourism (SRT). through
establishing more SME s in every community.
Experts of ICCT- the members of Rural Tourism International Association ( Amsterdam, the Netherlands) are
conducting training “ International Standards of Hospitality in Rural Areas” in various regions of Georgia and
the South Caucasus countries in the frame of the projects implemented.
From 2009 , ICCT is the follower of UNWTO Program ST-EP (Sustainable Tourism Eliminating Poverty) . In
2014 was established Youth Debate Club “ ST-EP” that attracts youth attention worldwide to perform kind
deeds for poverty reduction.
