Drawing No: 26M663 Page 1 of 4 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION Part No: Effective: 03 Nov 2003 PWR SUPPLY TRANSFORMER, TOROIDAL Revision: A 1.0 Filename: 26M663A.DOC SCOPE This technical specification describes a toroidal power transformer for use in a bridge rectifier circuit followed by a capacitive input filter. 2.0 ELECTRICAL Primary: The primary will consist of two windings, one tapped and one untapped, allowing for connection to a primary line of 100, 120, 220 or 240 V AC, 50/60 Hz using a Corcom model 5EFM4S power entry module or equivalent. See fig. 1 and 2. The transformer will function properly with a 10% variation in the above nominal line voltages. Secondary: There will be one center tapped secondary, approximately 70 V AC (35 V AC each half), with actual windings based on the voltage and current requirements below (see fig. 1). At nominal line voltage, in the configuration shown in fig. 1, the following minimum requirements for DC current and voltage will be met: Load Current DC voltage out 1.1 A 45 V min 0.1 A 53 V max HIGHLAND TECHNOLOGY, INC. 320 Judah Street San Francisco, CA 94122 (415) 753-5814 2003 HIGHLAND TECHNOLOGY, INC. All leads will exit the transformer along the outer diameter and will all be oriented in one sense parallel to the axis of rotational symmetry of the toroid. Temperature Rise: Temperature on any surface of the transformer will not exceed 75 C after one hour under maximum normal load (1.1 A), with natural convection only. Dimensions: Height H will not exceed 2.40 inches. Outside diameter OD will not exceed 3.40 inches. Inside diameter ID will not be less than 0.50 inches. Mounting: Mounting is with one bolt through the center of the toroid. HIGHLAND TECHNOLOGY, INC. 320 Judah Street San Francisco, CA 94122 (415) 753-5814 2003 HIGHLAND TECHNOLOGY, INC. Overload Test: With the primary connected for 120 V AC operation, and with 120 V AC applied, and with the secondary loaded so that the primary input current is 0.75 A, transformer temperature will not exceed 155 C.
