But Ma, how do all the body systems fit together? Revision: The Nervous System is a system of nerves called neurons which conduct electrochemical signals throughout the body. The Endocrine System is a system responsible for the regulation, production and release of hormones which is important for growth, metabolism and puberty. Revision: The Reproductive System is responsible for the production of offspring. This system produces gametes, regulates fertilization and maintains pregnancy. For further revision, check out the Nervous System, Endocrine System and Reproductive System sections on the Class-wiki. •Using the Human Anatomy Online list similar organs between each system, e.g. ovaries play a role in the endocrine and reproductive systems. •Jot down the role of each similar organ in the different systems. •Answer Worksheet. Click on each of the icons below and find out more about hormones produced by the endocrine system and used by the reproductive system. Mind-Map. Now you will create a mind-map using Free Mind linking together the 3 body systems. Mind-map has been downloaded to your school intranet but if it is not working clink here and download the software. Mind-Map. The middle of the mind-map will be: Body Systems. Key Terms to be used on the map: endocrine, nervous, reproductive, systems, ovaries, pancreas, neurons, gametes, testicles, testosterone, oestrogen, male, female, hormones, progesterone, puberty, metabolism, growth, electrochemical signals, central nervous system, hypothalamus, brain, glial cells. End of the Lesson. Save you Mind-map and include this in your presentation for next week.
