Role Profile: Marketing & Communications Manager Responsible to: Operations Director Role: To lead and manage the marketing & communications team. You will drive and build on current marketing & communications practices and strategies. This will include hands-on management of the website, digital communications, production of our magazine and conference programmes, drive advertising income, publicity, PR, press relations, brand management and promotion of all our events and resources. The team consists of a FT digital marketing and communications manager, a FT marketing projects manager and a PT communications manager and a PT graphic designer. Key Responsibilities: To develop and execute a marketing strategy which enables New Wine to meet its objectives. Write a marketing plan that supports the marketing strategy. Manage the Marketing and Communications team and other resources to deliver the Marketing plan on time and on budget. Part of the four-person New Wine Executive charged with day-to-day running of the administrative organisation. Understand our customers and potential customers and apply this to communication targeting. Ensure Marketplace strategy is delivered (as well as for other revenue streams). Further areas Manage New Wine’s brand to ensure consistency across all communication channels. Manage all communication channels and ensure that these be used to maximum effect. Evaluate and develop communication channels. Work in close co-operation with Church Leaders’ Network to ensure that marketing plans complement and dovetail. Manage and develop the team. Ensure that plans are ambitious, innovative and challenging. Maintain and develop external relationships with key organisations and the media, as well as other marketing professionals and agencies. Provide professional advice about packaging and presentation of organisational messages to National Director, Leadership Team and Trustees. Objectively assess and sign off all creative work to ensure that it represents New Wine values and delivers messages that will enhance the New Wine brand. Ensure that the marketing strategy is communicated effectively throughout the organisation. Develop strong and effective working relationships with the National Director, Regional Directors and Heads of Ministry. Sign off advertising, café and exhibitors rate recommendations and support negotiations when needed. Maintain an overview of the market in which New Wine operates including an understanding of competitor organisations and their offering. Manage budgets.
