Research Assistant – Cancer Related Behavior Research
The Cancer Prevention and Control program at the Georgetown University Lombardi
Comprehensive Cancer Center has openings for Research Assistants to work on cancer-related
behavioral research projects. The National Cancer Institute funded projects focus on the
psychological, decision-making and quality of life impact of genetic testing for hereditary cancer
susceptibility.
The RA will have duties that include participant recruitment and interviewing, assisting with data
management and analysis, in-depth literature reviews, manuscript and grant preparation and
the development of study-related patient educational materials and study management.
This is an outstanding opportunity for recent college graduates with a background in
psychology, public health or related fields who are interested in attending graduate school in
psychology, public health, epidemiology or genetic counseling. This position will provide
extensive research experience including opportunities for national presentations and authorship
on publications.
Applicant must have a B.A. or B.S. in the social sciences or public health and some research
experience. Salary is competitive. Full benefits.
