Liron Shani Bio Liron Shani is PhD candidate in the Department of Sociology & Anthropology at Tel Aviv University and a Fellow in the Department of Anthropology at Harvard University. His research deals with the conflicts between the communities and environment in Israel and includes analysis of different interpretations of nature, politics and science issues of water and agriculture in the desert; Anthropology of human and non-human; and the relationship between sustainability and nationalism. Liron received his BA in political science, anthropology and Sociology, from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and his master's degree in anthropology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
