KEY Helpful Tips to Remember: Part-3 [email protected] Jyotishlab.com.11/22/2011 Zodiac Division at a sign level or Division at a star level: KP method divides and subdivides a STAR into variable size arcs whereas a SIGN is divided into equal arcs in divisional charts. The method used to decide a ruler for a division is based upon two different approaches. If Nakshatra based dasa system is used then it makes sense in KP division philosophy and the assignment of rulers to each division thereof. Divisions based upon signs are harmonic charts which are very common in western astrology as well for aspect analysis and there is also some theme attached to each harmonic, which is more or less is the same in Vedic astrology. Fine-tuning of ascendant in higher division for accuracy is an uphill task whereas in Krishnamurti Paddhati only sublord of ascendant needs to be refined which is less complex. There are no well-defined rules to read these divisional charts in traditional approach, everyone has their own way of reading these charts based upon their experience, whereas in KP method the rules are well defined, simple and easy to apply. We will provide a systematic approach of reading divisional charts but will need some insight into KP approach first. Only D9 chart has 4 equal divisions of each star by coincidence called nakshatra pada. D9 chart can be compared with KP divisions for some subtle learning, not for anything else. A simple formula for erecting divisional charts is given along with a table of vedic naming convention from nakshatra pada. A Kth divisional chart has K mini-zodiacs corresponding to your natal chart. D3 chart will have 3 mini zodiacs, now each of these 3 mini zodiacs has different meanings. One needs to figure out how these mini zodiacs map back in your original chart and for what purpose. The same principle applies to each divisional chart. 64th navamsa is 4th house of 6th mini-zodiac (out of 9 mini-zodiacs) in D9 chart. The following formula will work with all the divisional charts except Parsari Dasamsa D10 and Parsari Drekkana D3 charts. For any division K, a divisional chart is constructed for any longitude of a planet or a point using formula: Longitude of Planet/ASC in a Divisional chart = (Longitude in Natal Chart *K) %360 o Division of a STAR in Traditional Navamsa Chart: Why Number 108 so symbolic? Why Ashtotari dasa period spans 108 years? Why japa is performed 108 times? • • • • • • o Each Star is of arc length 13°20' which has a uniq ue RULER based upon the sequence in Vimshotari dasa system. There are total of 27 stars and 12 signs (i.e. 9 pada in each sign) which cover 360°zodiac Each star is sub divided into 4 parts of 3°20' ea ch, called PADA with a RULER based upon the sequence of signs in the zodiac st Starting from 1 star Ashwani the pada RULERS are Aries through Pisces then keep repeating Aries through Pisces and so on till the table is exhausted for all stars Pada RULERS are the signs in Navamsa chart (D9 division) Vedic names are based upon these 108 pada. A reference look up table included Division of a STAR in Krishnamurthi’s System: • • • Each Star is of size 13°20' which has a unique RUL ER based upon the sequence in Vimshotari dasa system. Each Star is further divided into 9 parts (for each planet) of variable arc size called a SUBLORD. The way the variable arc sizes are implemented and the rulers assigned for each division is the key differentiating philosophy in traditional v/s KP approach. Each SUBLORD is further sub-divided into 9 parts of variable arc sizes called a SUBSUBLORD and so on so forth, again following the sequence in Vimshotari dasa • • o What is the difference in KP division of zodiac v/s divisional charts in traditional methods • • • • • • o Variable arc size is the arc size based upon the weightage of dasa years of a planet out of the total 120 years of Vimshotari dasa system. The arc sizes of VE/ME/SA/JU/RA as sublord is much larger than arc sizes of KE/SU/MA as sublord due to their variable weightage The way rulers for each division are assigned Divisional charts are based upon division of each of the12 signs covering 360°zodiac KP division is based upon division of each of the 27 stars covering 360°zodiac th th Navamsa is 9 division(same size) of a sign whereas sublord is 9 division(variable size) of a star If zodiac is divided into 27 Vedic Nakshatras to start with in accordance to Vimshotari Dasa Sequence then it’s logical that the Nakshatras should have been further subdivided based upon Vimshotari dasa sequence. This is the key idea of KP stellar method This difference is important to understand for inferring traditional divisional charts Why KP approach is different as compared to traditional methods in predictive astrology • • • • • • The method is logical and scientific and there is no degree of freedom for predicting outcome of an event. It’s a simple rule based revolutionary technique There is nothing to memorize except couple of key fundamental concepts All planets play key roles and there are no positive/negative attributes inherited There is no concept of yoga whatsoever and no divisional charts to worry about Transits are modeled in a very innovative manner and provide superior accuracy There is no other well-known systematic method that fairs well specially in predictive branch of astrology for accurate timing of events Nakshatra Pada Rulers (Navamsa signs) D9 chart Jyotishlab.com.11/22/2011 And A Vedic Naming Convention 1-Ashwani:KE 2-Bharani:VE 3-Krittika:SU Chu Che Cho La Li Lu Le Lo A 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 1 Aries Taurus Gemini Cancer Leo Virgo Libra Scorpio Sagittarius 3-Krittika:SU 4-Rohini:MO 5-Mrigasira:MA I U E O Va Vi Vo We Wo 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 1 2 Capricorn Aquarius Pisces Aries Taurus Gemini Cancer Leo Virgo 5-Mrigasira:MA 6-Ardra:RA 7-Punarvasu:JU KA Ki Ku Gha In Chh Ke Ko Ha 3 4 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 Libra Scorpio Sagittarius Capricorn Aquarius Pisces Aries Taurus Gemini 7-Punarvasu:JU 8-Pushya:SA 9-Ashlesha:ME Hi Hu HE Ho Da Dee Du De Do 4 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 Cancer Leo Virgo Libra Scorpio Sagittarius Capricorn Aquarius Pisces 10-Magha:KE 11-Purvaphalguni :VE 12-Uttaraphalguni :SU Ma Me Mu Me Mo Ta Ti Tu To 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 1 Aries Taurus Gemini Cancer Leo Virgo Libra Scorpio Sagittarius 12-Uttaraphalguni:SU 13-Hasta: MO 14-Chittra:MA Pa Pi Poo Pu Sha Na Tha Pe Po 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 1 2 Capricorn Aquarius Pisces Aries Taurus Gemini Cancer Leo Virgo 14-Chittra:MA 15-Swati:RA 16-Vishaka:JU Ra Re Ru Re Ro Taa Tee Tu Tey 3 4 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 Libra Scorpio Sagittarius Capricorn Aquarius Pisces Aries Taurus Gemini 16-Vishaka:JU 17-Anuradha:SA 18- Jyeshta :ME To Na Nee Nu Ney No Ya Yee Yu 4 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 Cancer Leo Virgo Libra Scorpio Sagittarius Capricorn Aquarius Pisces 19-Moola:KE 20-Poorvashada:VE 21-Uttarashada:SU Ye Yo Bha Bhi Bhu Dha Pha Dha Bhey 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 1 Aries Taurus Gemini Cancer Leo Virgo Libra Scorpio Sagittarius 21-Uttarashada:SU 22-Sravana:MO 23-Dhanishta: Bhi Ja Jee Khee Khoo Khey Kho Ga Gi 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 1 2 Capricorn Aquarius Pisces Aries Taurus Gemini Cancer Leo Virgo 23-Dhanishta:MA 24-Satabhisha:RA 25-Pooravabhdrapad Go Gey Go Sa Si Su Se So Da 3 4 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 Libra Scorpio Sagittarius Capricorn Aquarius Pisces Aries Taurus Gemini 25-Pooravabhadrapada:JU 26-Uttarabhadrapada:SA 27-Revati:ME Di Du Tha Jha Da De Do Cha Chee 4 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 Cancer Leo Virgo Libra Scorpio Sagittarius Capricorn Aquarius Pisces Aries Pada Sign Taurus 9 Pada Sign Gemini 18 Pada Sign Cancer 27 Pada Sign 36 Pada Sign Virgo 45 Pada Sign 54 Pada Sign Scorpio 63 Pada Sign Sagittarius 72 Pada Sign Capricorn 81 Pada Sign Aquarius 90 Pada Sign Pisces 99 Leo Libra Pada Sign 108 Jyotishlab.com.11/22/2011
